I would recommend her with highest support without hesitation for any position...take her. You will not regret it.
Devon's work is creative, accessible, and responsive to the needs of whatever organization she works with. She took the time to understand Minerva BC's voice and collaboratively contributed to and executed the strategy to elevate it. Her attention to detail, thoughtful and kind attitude meant that I felt 100% comfortable with delegate stakeholder media projects and interviews. Devon is a talented storyteller who is always eager to learn and improve her professional skills and expand her creative portfolio. I hope I have the opportunity to have her on my team again in the future.
Devon is an extremely driven individual who has the ability to take ideas from concept through to seamless execution. Her understanding of content and what works for audiences makes her a real asset, and she's a great contributor when it comes to ideas/brainstorming sessions. She's great at presenting her ideas in a clear and well-researched manner and is able to communicate her thoughts with clarity and confidence. I enjoyed working with and alongside Devon on multiple projects - she's a real team player and has great initiative with solving problems (which are bound to arise in any production!). Her written/verbal communication skills are excellent and she approaches every project with enthusiasm and a dedication to quality.
Throughout her consultancy, Devon was highly professional, reliable, able to work independently, and rolled with the punches. Beyond video production, Devon also came up with a lot of ideas to build more awareness around our ongoing recovery efforts. From managing our official blog, updating the country website, to producing multimedia packages for UN-Habitat headquarters, Devon was an effective and well-rounded media-savvy consultant that worked well under stress and limited resources. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone requiring someone who works smart, and thinks on her feet.
Devon is thoughtful on both a personal and professional level. When I began my business [InFocus Film School], Devon proved to be amazingly creative and effective in pulling off the impossible. She's a very skilled storyteller that understands the importance of a compelling story and how to create one. Since 2008, she has grown and developed drastically both as an individual and a film colleague.
Devon was a spectacularly awesome addition to the David Suzuki Foundation team. She built the current video program from literally nothing and set us up to continue our work smoothly once she had to (sob) leave. At the foundation, she produced a tonne of professional-looking videos, and just as importantly also acted as a producer for some externally-produced volunteer-created videos as well. Plus, she ran a part of our volunteer program too! The low-down: She's fun to work with. She's very organized. She hits deadlines. She's unflappable. Her videos are great. You should work with her.
